The second half was like an hour and a half trailer in my opinion. With the camera constantly on a crane or dolly zooming by even when they're having an "emotional moment" and the shots not lasting longer than 2.4 sec each. Megan fox is fucking hot though.

Its far too long with no story but I suppose you can expect that much from a film that's based on robotic toys.

Oh and enough slow motion. Sooooo tired of it Bay.

I went to the theatre an hour early, and the tickets were all out. I got tickets for Year One and planned to sneak in, but the line went all the way to the back of the theatre. I'm never trying to watch movies on opening day again.

Sure, there was 100times more action than the first, and the story suffered somewhat, but it wasn't bad by no means. Bay just needs to ditch so many of the slow-motion shots, they can be a bit tiresome at times, though sometimes they're awesome when it comes to showing the detail.

My favorite thing about bay is mainly how he doesn't use static shots very often, which helps with the action in my opinion.

But I loved the part when Prime says, "I will take you all on myself!" And proceeds to whoop some major ass.

I'll only watch it if the beginning has the techno-voice thing that goes "Transformers" in the theme song from the original show. I loved that.

Haha a perfect description of the movie. I felt kinda guilty about enjoying a movie purely on the effects and not the plot but when so much ass is kicked one can't help but to be shallow. At least once. I'll be damned if it's it not one of my favorite action movies simply because they stuck to the ingredients of an action movie and stuck to them well.

I recently watched Predator, and even though the storyline is paper thin, I was still gleefully enjoying the constant violence and chaos of it all (bit like madness, eh?).

Anyway, I'm not in America, so I'm gonna have to wait for it, but I enjoyed the first one, so I don't see what will be wrong with this one. In fact, I think it will be better because of more ACTION, and less FILLER!

In the beginning of the movie I didn't know that there was two cars until on got cut in half. The twins!!?!? The only twins are sideswipe and sunstreaker. Why were Mudflap and Skids formatted into and Ice Cream Truck. How is it that the "Black" autobots can't read?

This move didn't have any transformers in it. It's like making an X-Men movie without Wolverine, Xavier or Cyclops. Or like making Dr. Octopus Dr. Alligator in a Spider-Man movie. There were no Decepticons in this movie. Megatron is diminished to an decept Lackey by some wack ass Quintesson wannabe. Starscream is not treacherous and arrogant, but a spineless coward who looks like a cross between a monkey and chicken. Devastator is a big Gorilla!?!!? And looks like a bunch of brightly colored legos put together. Iron hide is sniffing to find the enemy?

The three decepticons in the movie needed to be Megs, SS, and Soundwave. They left out Soundwave? Why? Btw.... that shot of the soundwave satellite shooting out ravage was not an answer to the fan base. That is what we call lazy screenplay writers.

The thing is this....the Michael Bay world of transformers has no rules, so you might as well had megatron change into a hand gun. If pieces of an alien technology can be picked up by hand, yet fall and burn through the floor and turn half of the appliances in the house into mini robo beasties in split seconds then we are clearly seeing a movie with elements of magic in it. Based on ROTF laws of physics the table, plates, rugs, toilet, and plants should have evolved also. Remember the matrix brought back optimus Prime and also Spike who is human back to life. The also Matrix sucked spike into robot heaven.

The effects looked good and Megan Fox should seriously look into a career of making porn.

After walking out of the theater last night, i turned to my friends and said "You know, when Bay comes to a plot point that needs delicate explaining he BLOWS IT THE FUCK UP YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!"

This movie is no exception. Forget that it is riddled with gaping plot holes; shit got REAL in this movie. It was pretty much a constant fight scene with a break for about 10 seconds where the main characters are dry humping on a blanket in the desert (no plot spoiler).

Bay finally stopped trying to be a real directer i think and it worked out pretty well for him. I actually enjoyed revenge of the fallen

I loved the original cartton series (not the new crap) when I was a kid. The movie was pretty good. Definently not appropriate for 5 year olds though. especially the first 30 minutes or so. They throw the most random inappropriate jokes at you nonstop, and then suddenly jump over to giant transforming robots killing eachother. Overall, though, this movie gets a 9.5 out of 10.

I just got back from watching the film, and I've got to say, if you're looking for an intellectual film that delicately and vibrantly expresses the inner secrets of the human condition, this isn't for you. It's a blockbuster. Blockbusters are known for their mega epic awesome effects and fights and explosions, rather than the finer details, love, family, friendship etc. They were in there, but the beginning was laughable;

I just saw it last night. I was a little bit dissappointed though :/ It's 70% action and 30% story whereas the first one was the other way around.

The special FX are amazing though, and I loved the stereo imaging.

I think that expecting from these type of movies anything else than epic action and effects is really dumb. I watched it only for the effects and it was plain awesomeness. If someone is whining that the story etc was weak is just hmm gay?

I agree dear sir but Star Trek and Transformers are really 2 different things and T are based off stuff for kids. It's like expecting a Ben 10 movie to have an epic story on par with Goodfellas ;)

For me, the best part of the movie was in the forest when somebody (i forgot who) got smashed in the fucking face with a tree. Now THAT is action.

Of course I did m8. But Transformers,Spidermans,Xmans and all other kiddy comic/super heroes are a bit different than Die Hard, Lethal Weapon,Aliens etc.
I do admit that Tim Burton's and Christopher Nolan's Batman adaptations had awesome plot and I expect from them to be so cuz, you know it is a different class of directors and film making. It's 'fuck some shit up in a AAA style' vs 'develop a chain of smart plot situations that lead to awesome destruction AAA style '

the devestator dies to quik in this movie, only thing he does is: eat cars and sand..... being bullied by the twins, climb on the freaking piramida only to be shot in half by some super cannon -_-

Yes, the plot is weak, and the character development is practically nonexistant, but everything else about the ROTF is aces.
