I'm curious as to why you randomly capitalize letters in the middle of your sentences that are neither proper nouns, abbreviations, titles of honor, or any of the other commonly capitalized words.

As for your "essay", I believe all of us are greedy, just to different extents and desirous of different things. Some of us may be more greedy for money, and thus sell our characters and rights, whilst some of us are more greedy for fame (or perhaps dignity) and would like to do things our way.
Also, everyone has their monetary price. Perhaps you wouldn't give your characters up for $25k or even $250k, but I'm pretty sure if someone offered you $2,500,000 for them, you'd take it.
Regardless, greed is part of human nature. It's not like obesity, that is obtained through particular means, in this case consuming an excess of food and avoiding your treadmill.

Not an Essay but simply a rant.

The caps is simple a bad habit Ive obtained over the years, its my way of emphasizing a particular word, or hold on that word, as if it were a "beat" in a movie. Its something that I should avoid. I know. thanks for the nitpick tho.

as for your assumption of how much I would give up my characters for a price, well, you cant make that assessment, because you simply do not know me, If I was to lose complete control of my character I would not sell them period.

Greed maybe part of the human condition, but its not natural in any sense of the word. There aren't animals out there, that are greedy.
Also by your definition Greed is EXACTLY like Obesity. Its obtained to through particular means, unessessarily consuming/obtaining excess amounts of money.

also you cant be greedy for dignity, thats probably the dumbest and weakest statement, in your otherwise flawed, retort. Dignity is obtained through self worth, which is obtained through the giving of one self. Having Dignity is measured by your self worth through selfless acts. You can not be greedy with Selflessness.

lol.. dumbass

mindchammer is my brother =^_^=

we go to family picnics and eat whipped potato salad!!

BUt i always forget it so it'll be sticks and mud instead =^_^=

*thought that would make you laugh.

yes, My SIsta Streaky!

I miss our family picnics, and potato salad wrestling, and slumber parties, with the pillow fights.. :(

good times..

I don't think greed should be considered a disease, because there are many negative character traits, and it would get out of hand if all of them were refined into being a disease.
It would make people be complacent having those negative character traits, since disease implies a lack of control or ability to control that trait. People can choose not to be greedy if they want to, but people with schizophrenia can't control their disease.
Also, at the end of the day, character traits are what make us all individual, and all of us have a little amount of greed in us. If there was no greed anywhere, then everyone would be selfless, and that would get annoying.

It's a disease, but most of the time, greedy actions are usually done on impulse and not properly thought out. Everyone want mountains of money, it's just a question of how far you'll go to get it.

thats way too true... just hate greedy people dont you

well i didnt read it all, but it looks like you did a great job on that, and no, greed is not a desease. its your impulses... i think.

entering a war for the sake of profit, is not an impulsive thing to do.

Well if they can call alcoholism a disease, they should be able to call greed a disease.

i was banned for saying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SMICO RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

like this?

*bans user*

lolololololol

greed is greed, the biggest problem I see is that old adage "money begets money" the richer you are the easier it is to get richer (investing, buying/selling ect) I mean the end that most people seek IS the almighty dollar. The road you take there, name it; selling out, conning peeps out of it, just being a royal douche, is all the means to that one end. Very few can resist it, but in the end i would say the corruption money brings is not worth the price of admision......of course I'm pretty broke so that makes ME feel better :D capitalists be damned!

i think not making a new post in so long is considered a disease.. you should get it looked at. FOR SERIOUS

ya I guess. :(

Globalization will not succeed without the abolishment of distinction of creed and religion.

creed and religion need only be controlled by a single enitity. if people are stupid enough to believe their religion is superior to others then let them, it all flows to one establishment.

Kinda like when you grab a orange juice, because you are tired of cola roting your guts, only to find out its owned by soda companies anyway.

the greed built into the human mind is very odd, in that very few species have it, and of those creatures which do humans are the only ones to have it to such an extreme extent, where in our evolutionary history did it develop? why? agent smith is right, we are the only animals to live the way we do, instead of forming a natural equilibrium with our environment we move into an area and destroy and consume and take and take and take until there is nothing left, then we spread out and do the same thing to other areas, and when we inevitably run out of places to go we start doing it to one another, we live on destruction, our first impulse is to cause as much damage as possible, our so-called intelligence is more a way of settling petty rivalries than doing something constructive, nearly every technological advancement in human history was some sort of weapon, and those which weren't were because we were competing with someone else because we wanted to be better, we think we are intelligent, what we really are is just a more extreme level of stupidity, how did such a fundamentally evil species as ourselves survive for so long? how much longer can we survive? if we don't settle our differences with each other and the world around us, we'll be destroyed by one or the other, that's how it works, generally, greedy strains wipe themselves out, they kill off the local food supply and starve to death, thus rebalancing nature, but when we run out, we just spread somewhere else and keep on doing the same thing, we really are a virus, we certainly don't deserve to be the superior race we claim to be, yes, greed is a disease, and if we don't overcome it, it will destroy us, it has turned us into a virus, evil incarnate

...

why does the button in people's userpages which lets you view their flash/audio reviews not work?

Is 72 your actual age? I'm just wondering.

are all you can draw stick figures at 16??

just wonderin'

Well greed is a emotion somewhat like a one of our senses. In a sense it is part of us therefore really it could not be a disease unless it was defined as a disease or disorder of oneself. Being greedy is a good thing in a way because in our history we used to lack things. Like racism everyone is racist because it would take too long to meet someone and determine who there are once you met them instead of guessing who they are. It would be like being born all over again. I will tell you actually that being greedy actually comes from lack of other emotions that overtakes you so sometimes filling gaps maybe love, friendship or some other things. Because we all know people that are cheap(greedy) but still good people.

I beleive in the same thing. Regardless, it doesn't stop people from drawing countless borders on all sorts of maps. Religion is globalizations biggest enemy for the simple fact that people beleive what they beleive and most of the time are willing to die for it. It is that stuck in there head.

Globalization would suck anyway, I find culture more exciting.

Hey mindchamber you're going on my favorite flash author list =)

Only if you consider disease greedy.

I think its more of a mental thing.....

That was beautiful Mindchamber. I'm glad you care about the environment.
