I always thought either FPA: W2 or MM:WC were gonna win game of the year. And FPA: W2 did, so I liked that. And then I always thought There She Is!! was gonna win movie of the year. And it didn't :( Why didn't it win?
Don't get me wrong, I love Chuck's New Tux. It's just that, I think There She Is!! would be a better candidate. If you check the top 50 flashes, all the There She Is!! cartoons are in the top 10, while Chuck's New Tux isn't even in the top 50!
Quality of animation: Both were about equally good.
Style and originality: Both were about equally good here as well.
Quality of writing: Both were very good, but I think There She Is!! had a little bit better writing.
Pace and sense of timing: Both were very good in this as well, but Chuck's New Tux showed more examples of this.
Score and sound effects: Like I said before, "If you check the top 50 flashes, all the There She Is!! cartoons are in the top 10, while Chuck's New Tux isn't even in the top 50!"
So now I ask you, why didn't There She Is!! win? WHY?!
There She is didn't win because they didn't want to spoil Sambakza since it's already in Top 10?? I don't really care, the fan base is already huge.
Well it's not really a point that Newgrounds should be violent and go back to its roots. Waterlollies won last year.

The Tank Awards are not judged by who submits more flash to the site. And who cares if SamBakZa is more popular outside newgrounds? People who haven't even heard of newgrounds have heard of TheWeebl, and he is considered an NG regular. He hasn't even posted a news post to this site. I don't even think he links to newgrounds in his flashes. SamBakZa does, it says "Special Thanks, Newgrounds.com" in their flashes. So SamBakZa shouldn't be unconsidered because you don't think he is to Newground-ish for you.

NG is not about violent.
Waterlollies won last year, but MC7 should've because it's more gorey. We don't want everyone to think we've gone PIXAR with Waterlollies. >_>
