Sup Robos, Happy Labor day!
here is a list of this year's Robot Day winners.
It needs to be said, art is subjective, if you didn't win its not because it wasn't good. a lot of these are all equally great,
Ultimately when theres alot of great submisions, choosing the winner just comes down to tastes.
So with that, I'd like to start with the
Honorable mentions:
Some handcrafted goodness! This Robotic nightmare is something out of an H.G. Well novel.
Great colors and vibes, and smooth synth music gives this animation a really slick lo fi feel.
Theres some funny moments, and a really cool scene done in pixel that gives this black mirror-esque story some teeth
highly recommend
Speaking of Pixels, there's no denying the absolute charm F Bot has in her MineCraft model make over! <3
really cute lil animation with some nice extra details to give it loads of personality!
And Epic Collab of musicians coming to gether to bring you 1 hour of an eclcectic mix of very epic Robcotic music!
A must listen!
A catchy melody with some really sticky synth, that just kinda hits you right in the feels.
Brings back a lot of nostalgia, those wild west days of opening an Keygen for your crack of Macromedia flash, and hoping it wouldn't infect your PC, only to be reassured with some of the best music one the web. <3
This is a pretty awesome collab! There is a lot of really sharp voice acting, and a funny story, a must-listen!
Incredibly slick Megaman rendition with some epic coloring. I like how more robotic he feels with the exposed joints.
If P-Bot was in a live action Transformers movie, Id imagine him looking something like this!
loads of grit and edgy details!
Xkl-3 is a beast, their robot draws also have a technical draftsmanship of realism with a touch of whimsy that's hardly matched. a true genius and robot master.
Ok It's winners time

4TH PLACE:$25
really got that 50s commercial vibe! love the VHS effects and low rez style, and quirky narration!
3RD PLACE: $50
If ToeJam and Earl were to make a comeback, it would be with this.. This one goes hard.
It really runs the gambet from Funky to Phonk, and back again with no sweat.
2ND PLACE: $100
This lil' Robot delivery game,is the so charming. The physics-based animations and movement really had me wishing games were this dynamic back in the NES days. while there were some menu and UI issues for me, I eventually figured things out .
can't get over how slick this game is, I mean look at this character!
This couldve easy been first place, I just think needs a bit more love. a fleshed out tutoral, where all the moves are breadcrumbed to the player wouldve done wonders for the enjoyment of this game.
I loved this and hope they flesh this lil game out further in the future.
1ST PLACE: $150
A Stylish and detailed piece with a lot of OG NG Robot characters along with Robot Legends of our time.
each character on this image is detailed and meticulously rendered out and could easily stand alone as a fantastic individual submission. really awesome work.
