Theres this sweet little animation software that's free now, and ya'll should try it.
Its raster based so it really feels like you're animating papertests.
Ive been using it to sketch out really rough animation ideas, then importing it into flash.. I think its awesome. It isnt as deep as Tvpaint, but its a good midlevel point for smaller stuff.

Turned out to be a very complicated software.
sorry to hear that, its much simplier than flash or toonboom, so yah, I dont know what to tell you. except that its free and you have all the time in the world to learn it.

if you use flash, it has a bit of a curve, but if you are just starting out, its no more complicated than any other program youre just learnin
