Yeah greed is actually a sub-disease as classified by some scientists.
I'm greedy as hell with my CPU but that's it. So I might have a small trace of this "sub-disease." Well what IF it were put in there with obesity? Walda think of that? People'd would be putting up money for a cure. That's why they don't categorize it.

It's true; there are quite a lot of greedy people in this world. Thought it is unfortunate, there are those on the other end of the spectrum that are willing to do quite the opposite.
It's nice to know that there are still good people in this world; a yin and yang. But why is it that we always here so much more about the "yin" of things? If the Yin-Yang is a precise balance of two opposing forces, such as good and evil; greed and charity, can it really accurately describe the world we live in today?
From the looks of it, the Yin is devouring the Yang, and it's sad to really see how Evil, greed, affairs, murder, lies, and etc are more abundant then anything. Or perhaps we are so focused on the bad things in this world, that the Yang becomes hazed and hard to see?
I don't know, that's just how I've always seen it. I know there are some truly nice people in this world, and unfortunately, I can't say that I'm the perfect person either, though I'd like to think of myself as an above average person trying to better himself.

greed in the way i see it anyways, is that scenario on just a larger scale, to think, say, german cars r better (i just like german n other ueropean cars myself) no matter wut, and to buy even a perice oh shit german engineered car (does such exist? lol) thnking its better, helpinmg another big coorparation bcome just richer while the deserving ultimatye in quality (toyota for just an example, have a toyota camry that meh mom bought 9 years ago and works like a charm still, though partly bcuz my dads a mechanic) and a 1/10 the price that'll (possibly) use the profit to better the company and make more affordable, more reliable, just plain ut better forms of motor transportation (stuff like investing more into hydrogen fuel cells, making hydrogen fueled vehicles more affordable cuyz they b just damn expensive in comparison) that'll help save our ecosystem, and with the money flow instead of just stashing billions away in the bank, overall improving the economy at the same time.

And addicting stuff like drugs and alcohol causes deseases too, right? That's why alcohol and drugs is in a certain way not good for people, and in some countries forbidden, in all ways, or just in the meaning of drinking in public, or selling, or consuming in general.
So, should any obvious sign of greed-causing items be forbidden? If I could think of one right now, I'd say yes. Most people are thinking of big businesses bullying smaller ones and polluting the world as being greedy, but what people must realize is that those big businesses are not really people. Big corporations which are the most influential polluters are not owned by any one person since their ownership is traded via stocks on the stock market. Corporations have an legal obligation to their owners to make as much money as they possibly can, so if you call them greedy, then they're just obeying the law, for it would be illegal for them not to be greedy.
It's much more rare to hear of a single person causing such trouble and doing all this harm, because I don't think there is any one really rich individual who does not have a corporation making money for them.
I'm not sure if greed is a disease, but what you say does not back up your argument.

Greed is in and of itself a fact and a life for many people. Some would say that greed is the ambition to make money, others would state that greed is indeed a problem but not a disease. What do I say? Its both, sure, you have to have some ambition in order to make a name for yourself, sure greed can and is a problem, but, is there really a way to stop it? Like cancer, greed grows and grows till it consumes the person, all unknowingly, to their doom. Why state that greed should be a disease, when as such it actually is considered so by many people. Sure I love money as much as anybody else, and sure if I could I would try to save everything I earn...but there is a difference between those that are greedy and those that just have substantial wealth...its how they spend it.
Wars are not started for money, they are started for political obedience in other areas of the world, as such do those wars esculate into a battle for cash and thus do the greedy fight the greedy. Like the circle of life, I can't say that this could ever be stopped or even slowed, greed is the materialistic materialization of humanity's need for survival at its most fragile. So thus does a person want more because they want it? Or is it that in their heads they 'need' it? As you probably know, greed startes out as a simple "I would like some of that", throw in a please and a thank you and you have a normal everyday transaction. Take that into consideration and throw on "Oh! I really liked that...I think I will have more." Soon that "more" turns into "give it to me!" and finally "nothing will stop me from having that." Greed is the personafication of ones conciousness unto the stuff that they wanted and thus needed.
In conclusion, we are greedy because we always want, we always want because we always want more, we always want more because we don't think we have enough, we don't think we have enough due to the fact that we generally have so little to begin with and we have so little to begin with because orginally we had no want until that one thing caught our eye. Greed cannot be classified as a disease as it is up to the individual to decide whether or not wanting more is something that they should consider. A disease is something that can easily travel, and greed is just a mental problem, not a health problem. Classification is all right and good...but a disease it is not, more like a virus that affects all around it, and destroy's the persons' ability to subjicate the truth of his or her actions regardless of what those actions maybe.

I agree with you, MC. In my own opinion, and by my own experiences in my still-to-be-changing life, I think money can bring out the worst in people. People will be willing to do anything just in order to hold a shiny coin in their hand, or see their bank account with an eight digit number. I feel totally appauled by the fact people would go to such depths in order to make a bit of cash. I say greed is something which may never have been enhanced to such a level as it is today if it wasn't for money.
Maybe in a perfect reality, everybody has the same amount of money and nobody wants more. Sadly I doubt that'll never happen. What really pains me though is the fact that, people who play sports which are popular (football over here, baseball in America I guess) get money thrown at them, when we have poor people on the streets with no homes, who have live day by day hoping they'll make get a good meal. If we can afford to throw money at somebody for kicking a ball, can't we give some to homeless people? I get annoyed sometimes at how this world of ours works.
But then again, could greed be used to strive people to work more? Let's take a newspaper company for a local town. If you're the only newspaper company, you have no competition, therefore you won't produce what could be better material in your papers. Now let's say another newspaper company comes into the town. The first company now has competition for customers, therefore will attempt to do better to get more money... Or am I misinterpreting that altogether?
